It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suwaid bin Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him) that he set out with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in the year when the Battle of Khaybar took place, until when they reached Sahba (which is a place) on the way back from Khaybar towards Madinah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) dismounted, then performed the Asr prayer and asked for provisions, but nothing was brought except sattu (parched barley meal). So he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered it to be opened, and it was opened, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ate from it and so did we. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up for the Maghrib prayer, rinsed his mouth, and we also rinsed our mouths, then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performed the prayer and did not perform ablution.
