بَابُ تَرْكِ الصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْعِيدَيْنِ وَبَعْدَهُمَاAbandoning prayer before and after the two Eids
Hadith 436
حَدَّثَنِي حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، " لَمْ يَكُنْ يُصَلِّي يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ وَلَا بَعْدَهَا "
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) did not offer any voluntary (nafl) prayers before the Eid prayer nor after the prayer.
