وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ بَنَى رَحْبَةً فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ تُسَمَّى الْبُطَيْحَاءَ ، وَقَالَ : " مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ أَنْ يَلْغَطَ ، أَوْ يُنْشِدَ شِعْرًا ، أَوْ يَرْفَعَ صَوْتَهُ فَلْيَخْرُجْ إِلَى هَذِهِ الرَّحْبَةِ "
It reached Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, that Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, made a place in the corner of the mosque, its name was Bathiha, and he said that whoever wants to chatter, or recite poetry, or call out, should go to that place.
