Hadith 406
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ " كَانَ إِذَا جَاءَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَقَدْ صَلَّى النَّاسُ بَدَأَ بِصَلَاةِ الْمَكْتُوبَةِ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ قَبْلَهَا شَيْئًا "
It is narrated from Rabi'ah bin Abdur Rahman that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would come to the mosque and find that the congregation had finished, he would begin the obligatory prayer and would not perform the Sunnah prayers.
