بَابُ انْتِظَارِ الصَّلَاةِ وَالْمَشْيِ إِلَيْهَاChapter on Waiting for Prayer and Walking to It
Hadith 386
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ بِمَا يَمْحُو اللَّهُ بِهِ الْخَطَايَا وَيَرْفَعُ بِهِ الدَّرَجَاتِ ، إِسْبَاغُ الْوُضُوءِ عِنْدَ الْمَكَارِهِ ، وَكَثْرَةُ الْخُطَى إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ ، وَانْتِظَارُ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصَّلَاةِ ، فَذَلِكُمُ الرِّبَاطُ ، فَذَلِكُمُ الرِّبَاطُ ، فَذَلِكُمُ الرِّبَاطُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you about those things which remove sins and raise ranks: completing the ablution thoroughly in times of difficulty, taking many steps towards the mosque, and waiting for one prayer after another prayer. That is ribat, that is ribat, that is ribat."
