بَابُ مَا يَجِبُ فِيهِ قَصْرُ الصَّلَاةِChapter on what requires shortening the prayer
Hadith 338
حَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ حَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ " رَكِبَ إِلَى ذَاتِ النُّصُبِ فَقَصَرَ الصَّلَاةَ فِي مَسِيرِهِ ذَلِكَ " . ¤قَالَ مَالِك : وَبَيْنَ ذَاتِ النُّصُبِ وَالْمَدِينَةِ أَرْبَعَةُ بُرُدٍ
It is narrated from Hazrat Salim bin Abdullah that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) once rode from Madinah to Dhat al-Nusub and shortened the prayer on the way.
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Dhat al-Nusub is four burd from Madinah.
