بَابُ مَا يَجِبُ فِيهِ قَصْرُ الصَّلَاةِChapter on what requires shortening the prayer
Hadith 336
حَدَّثَنِي حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ " كَانَ إِذَا خَرَجَ حَاجًّا أَوْ مُعْتَمِرًا قَصَرَ الصَّلَاةَ بِذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ "
It is narrated from Nafi‘ that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would leave Madinah for Makkah for Hajj or ‘Umrah, he would shorten the prayer starting from Dhu’l-Hulayfah.
