بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي صَلَاةِ الْمَرْأَةِ فِي الدِّرْعِ وَالْخِمَارِConcession for women praying in a chemise and headscarf
Hadith 325
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً اسْتَفْتَتْهُ ، فَقَالَتْ : إِنَّ الْمِنْطَقَ يَشُقُّ عَلَيَّ ، أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي دِرْعٍ وَخِمَارٍ ، فَقَالَ : " نَعَمْ ، إِذَا كَانَ الدِّرْعُ سَابِغًا "
A woman asked Hazrat Urwah bin Zubair that it is difficult for me to tie an izar, can I pray in a shirt and head covering? Urwah replied that yes, when the shirt is quite large.
