بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي صَلَاةِ الْمَرْأَةِ فِي الدِّرْعِ وَالْخِمَارِConcession for women praying in a chemise and headscarf
Hadith 323
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ قُنْفُذٍ ، عَنْ أُمِّهِ ، أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، مَاذَا تُصَلِّي فِيهِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ ؟ فَقَالَتْ : " تُصَلِّي فِي الْخِمَارِ وَالدِّرْعِ السَّابِغِ إِذَا غَيَّبَ ظُهُورَ قَدَمَيْهَا "
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Haram (may Allah be pleased with her) that she asked Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her): "In how many clothes can a woman pray?" She replied: "In a khimar and a shirt, but the shirt should be so long that it covers the feet."
