بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِWhat is reported about the two rak'ahs of Fajr
Hadith 284
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي نَمِرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : سَمِعَ قَوْمٌ الْإِقَامَةَ فَقَامُوا يُصَلُّونَ ، فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ : " أَصَلَاتَانِ مَعًا ، أَصَلَاتَانِ مَعًا " وَذَلِكَ فِي صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ
It is narrated from Abu Salamah bin Abdur Rahman that when people heard the takbeer, they stood up and began to offer the sunnah prayers. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out and said: "Are two prayers to be performed together? Are two prayers to be performed together?" And he, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "These are the two rak'ahs included with the morning prayer which are offered before the morning (fard) prayer."
