It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to recite the Sunnah prayers of Fajr quickly, to the extent that I would wonder whether he had even recited Surah Al-Fatihah or not.
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) and a group have said that in the Sunnah prayers of Fajr, one should suffice with only Surah Al-Fatihah, meaning that after Al-Fatihah, no other Surah should be recited. However, according to the majority of scholars, another Surah should be recited, and this is the correct view.
