It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'mineen Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the call to prayer for Fajr had been given, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would perform two light rak'ahs before the congregation was established.
