بَابُ مَا جَاءَ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِChapter on what is reported regarding one who catches a rak‘ah on Friday
Hadith 235B1
قَالَ مَالِك : وَعَلَى ذَلِكَ أَدْرَكْتُ أَهْلَ الْعِلْمِ بِبَلَدِنَا ، وَذَلِكَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ رَكْعَةً فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ الصَّلَاةَ "
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: We found the scholars of our city upon this statement, and the evidence for this is that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever catches a rak'ah of the prayer has caught that prayer."
