بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْإِنْصَاتِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُChapter on what is reported regarding listening on Friday while the imam is preaching
Hadith 234
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ الْكَلَامِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِذَا نَزَلَ الْإِمَامُ ، عَنِ الْمِنْبَرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُكَبِّرَ ، فَقَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ : " لَا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ "
It is narrated from Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, that he asked Ibn Shihab Zuhri: "When the Imam descends from the pulpit after delivering the sermon, is it permissible to speak before the takbir?" Ibn Shihab said: "There is no harm in it."
