It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah is pleased with three things and displeased with three things. He is pleased that you worship Him alone and do not associate anything with Him, and that you hold fast to the rope of Allah (i.e., the Qur’an), and that you give sincere advice to your ruler (i.e., tell him good things and prevent him from bad things). And He is displeased with excessive talking, wasting wealth (i.e., spending unnecessarily), and asking too much and making many requests.”
