وَحَدَّثَنِي وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِك، عَنْ
زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ دَخَلَ عَلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ وَهُوَ يَجْبِذُ لِسَانَهُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ : مَهْ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ ؟ فَقَالَ
أَبُو بَكْرٍ : إِنَّ
" هَذَا أَوْرَدَنِي الْمَوَارِدَ "
It is narrated from Hazrat Aslam Adawi that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was pulling his tongue. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Stop! May Allah forgive you. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It is this (tongue) that has brought me to destruction.
