بَابُ مَا يُنَّقَى مِنَ الشُّؤْمِWhat is Cleansed from Bad Omens
Hadith 1779
وَحَدَّثَنِي مَالِك، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ دَارٌ سَكَنَّاهَا وَالْعَدَدُ كَثِيرٌ، وَالْمَالُ وَافِرٌ فَقَلَّ الْعَدَدُ وَذَهَبَ الْمَالُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " دَعُوهَا ذَمِيمَةً "
Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated that a woman came to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and said: "O Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace! There was a house in which we went and stayed. We were many in number and had wealth, then our number decreased (i.e., people died) and the wealth also diminished." The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Leave that (house) if you consider it bad."
