بَابُ الْعَمَلِ فِي السَّلَامِDeeds Related to Greeting (Salam)
Hadith 1750
حَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " يُسَلِّمُ الرَّاكِبُ عَلَى الْمَاشِي، وَإِذَا سَلَّمَ مِنَ الْقَوْمِ وَاحِدٌ أَجْزَأَ عَنْهُمْ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Aslam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The rider should greet the one who is walking, and when one man from a group greets, it is sufficient for all of them."
