بَابُ افْتِتَاحِ الصَّلَاةِOpening of the prayer
Hadith 164
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ ، أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي لَهُمْ فَيُكَبِّرُ كُلَّمَا خَفَضَ وَرَفَعَ فَإِذَا انْصَرَفَ ، قَالَ : " وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَشْبَهُكُمْ بِصَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to lead the prayer. He would say the takbeer when bowing and when rising, and then when he finished, he said: By Allah! Among all of you, I am the most similar to the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
