It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) began the prayer, he would raise both hands level with the shoulders, and when he raised his head from bowing (ruku‘), he would also raise both hands in the same way and say: «سَمِعَ اللّٰهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ رَبَّنَا وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ». And between the prostrations, he would not raise his hands, nor when going into prostration.
