It is narrated from Hazrat Salim bin Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Bilal gives the call to prayer at night, so eat and drink until the son of Umm Maktum gives the call to prayer." Ibn Shihab or Salim or our master Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, said that the son of Umm Maktum was blind; he would not give the call to prayer until people said to him, 'Morning has come, morning has come.'"
