بَابُ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَكْعَةً مِنَ الصَّلاَةِChapter on one who catches a rak‘ah of the prayer
Hadith 16
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، وَزَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ ، كَانَا يَقُولَانِ : " مَنْ أَدْرَكَ الرَّكْعَةَ فَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ السَّجْدَةَ "
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, says that it has reached me from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, and Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit, may Allah be pleased with him, that both of them used to say: Whoever catches the bowing (ruku'), he has caught the prostration (sajdah).
