حَدَّثَنِي حَدَّثَنِي مَالِك، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ، يَقُولُ : " الرَّجْمُ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ حَقٌّ عَلَى مَنْ زَنَى مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَاءِ، إِذَا أُحْصِنَ إِذَا قَامَتِ الْبَيِّنَةُ، أَوْ كَانَ الْحَبَلُ، أَوِ الْاعْتِرَافُ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) heard from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), he said: He used to say that stoning (rajm) is in the Book of Allah, it is true. Whoever commits adultery, whether man or woman, if he is muhsan (i.e., has been married and consummated the marriage), then he will be stoned, when it is proven by four witnesses, or by pregnancy of the woman, or by confession from both the man and the woman.
