بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الرَّجْمِChapter on what is reported regarding stoning (rajm)
Hadith 1546
حَدَّثَنِي مَالِك، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ، قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَرَأَيْتَ " لَوْ أَنِّي وَجَدْتُ مَعَ امْرَأَتِي رَجُلًا، أَأُمْهِلُهُ حَتَّى آتِيَ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ ؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : نَعَمْ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him, that Sayyiduna Sa'd bin 'Ubada, may Allah be pleased with him, said to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him: "If I find a man with my wife, should I give him respite until I gather four witnesses?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Yes."
