بَابُ مَا فِيهِ الدِّيَةُ كَامِلَةًCases where full blood money is due
Hadith 1506
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ فِي الشَّفَتَيْنِ : " الدِّيَةُ كَامِلَةً فَإِذَا قُطِعَتِ السُّفْلَى فَفِيهَا ثُلُثَا الدِّيَة " .
Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib used to say that there is a full diyah (blood money) for both lips; if only the lower lip is cut off, then one-third diyah will be given.
