بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي النِّدَاءِ لِلصَّلَاةِChapter on what is reported regarding the call to prayer
Hadith 149
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ ثُمَّ الْمَازِنِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، قَالَ لَهُ : " إِنِّي أَرَاكَ تُحِبُّ الْغَنَمَ وَالْبَادِيَةَ فَإِذَا كُنْتَ فِي غَنَمِكَ أَوْ بَادِيَتِكَ فَأَذَّنْتَ بِالصَّلَاةِ ، فَارْفَعْ صَوْتَكَ بِالنِّدَاءِ ، فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَسْمَعُ مَدَى صَوْتِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ جِنٌّ وَلَا إِنْسٌ وَلَا شَيْءٌ ، إِلَّا شَهِدَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Abdullah bin Abdur Rahman Ansari reported that Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: "You take care of goats and the wilderness, so when you are in the wilderness among your goats, call the adhan for prayer in a loud voice, for the voice of the mu'adhdhin does not reach any jinn, nor human, nor anything else, except that it will bear witness for him on the Day of Resurrection." Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
