بَابُ مِيرَاثِ أَهْلِ الْمِلَلِChapter on Inheritance of People of Other Religions
Hadith 1487
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ : " إِنَّمَا وَرِثَ أَبَا طَالِبٍ، عَقِيلٌ، وَطَالِبٌ، وَلَمْ يَرِثْهُ عَلِيٌّ، قَالَ : فَلِذَلِكَ تَرَكْنَا نَصِيبَنَا مِنَ الشِّعْبِ "
It is narrated from Hazrat Ali bin Husayn, that is, Imam Zain al-Abidin, he said: When Abu Talib died, his heirs were Aqil and Talib(1), and Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was not his heir(2). Ali bin Husayn said: For this reason, we have given up our share from the houses in Mecca.
