بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْحِنْثِ عَلَى مِنْبَرِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَWhat is reported about breaking an oath on the Prophet's pulpit
Hadith 1424
قَالَ يَحْيَى : حَدَّثَنَا مَالِك، عَنْ هَاشِمِ بْنِ هَاشِمِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نِسْطَاسٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى مِنْبَرِي آثِمًا، تَبَوَّأَ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever swears a false oath upon my pulpit has made his abode in the Hellfire."
