بَابُ الْقَضَاءِ فِي شَهَادَةِ الْمَحْدُودِRuling on the testimony of one who has been punished
Hadith 1417
قَالَ يَحْيَى : عَنْ مَالِك أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ ، وَغَيْرِهِ، أَنَّهُمْ سُئِلُوا عَنْ رَجُلٍ جُلِدَ الْحَدَّ، أَتَجُوزُ شَهَادَتُهُ ؟ فَقَالُوا : " نَعَمْ، إِذَا ظَهَرَتْ مِنْهُ التَّوْبَةُ "
Sulaiman bin Yasar and others were asked whether a person who has been subjected to the hadd punishment for qadhf, can his testimony be accepted? They replied: Yes, when he repents, and the truthfulness of his repentance becomes evident from his actions.
