عَنْ مَالِكٌ إِنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ، أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيِّبِ سُئِلَ عَنِ الشُّفْعَةِ هَلْ فِيهَا مِنْ سُنَّةٍ؟ فَقَالَ : نَعَمِ الشُّفْعَةُ فِي الدُّورِ وَالْأَرَضِينَ، وَلَا تَكُونُ إِلَّا بَيْنَ الشُّرَكَاءِ.
Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib was asked about the ruling regarding pre-emption (shuf‘ah). He said: Pre-emption applies to houses and land, and the right of pre-emption belongs only to a partner.
