بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الرِّبَا فِي الدَّيْنِWhat is Reported Regarding Usury in Debt
Hadith 1379
حَدَّثَنِي حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدٍ أَبِي صَالِحٍ مَوْلَى السَّفَّاحِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " بِعْتُ بَزًّا لِي مِنْ أَهْلِ دَارِ نَخْلَةَ إِلَى أَجَلٍ، ثُمَّ أَرَدْتُ الْخُرُوجَ إِلَى الْكُوفَةِ، فَعَرَضُوا عَلَيَّ أَنْ أَضَعَ عَنْهُمْ بَعْضَ الثَّمَنِ وَيَنْقُدُونِي، فَسَأَلْتُ عَنْ ذَلِكَ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ، فَقَالَ : " لَا آمُرُكَ أَنْ تَأْكُلَ هَذَا وَلَا تُوكِلَهُ "
Ubaid Abu Salih said: I sold my cloth to the people of Dar Nakhlah (a place between Makkah and Taif) on a promise. When I was about to go to Kufa, those people said: If you reduce the price a little, we will pay you your money right now. I related this to Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: I do not permit you to eat or feed from that money.
