بَابُ السَّلَفِ وَبَيْعِ الْعُرُوضِ بَعْضِهَا بِبَعْضٍForward Sale and Barter of Goods for Each Other
Hadith 1370B2
قَالَ مَالِك : وَلَا بَأْسَ أَنْ يُشْتَرَى الثَّوْبُ مِنَ الْكَتَّانِ أَوِ الشَّطَوِيِّ أَوِ الْقَصَبِيِّ بِالْأَثْوَابِ مِنَ الْإِتْرِيبِيِّ أَوِ الْقَسِّيِّ أَوِ الزِّيقَةِ أَوِ الثَّوْبِ الْهَرَوِيِّ أَوِ الْمَرْوِيِّ بِالْمَلَاحِفِ الْيَمَانِيَّةِ وَالشَّقَائِقِ، وَمَا أَشْبَهَ ذَلِكَ الْوَاحِدُ بِالْاثْنَيْنِ أَوِ الثَّلَاثَةِ يَدًا بِيَدٍ أَوْ إِلَى أَجَلٍ وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ صِنْفٍ وَاحِدٍ، فَإِنْ دَخَلَ ذَلِكَ نَسِيئَةٌ فَلَا خَيْرَ فِيهِ .
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said that among those clothes which are clearly different from each other, it is permissible in every way to sell one for two or three, whether in cash or on credit. And when one cloth resembles another, if the names are different, then an increase or decrease is permissible, but selling on credit is not permissible.
