قَالَ مَالِكٌ : الْأَمْرُ الْمُجْتَمَعُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَنَا فِي لَحْمِ الْإِبِلِ وَالْبَقَرِ وَالْغَنَمِ، وَمَا أَشْبَهَ ذَلِكَ مِنَ الْوُحُوشِ، أَنَّهُ لَا يُشْتَرَى بَعْضُهُ بِبَعْضٍ، إِلَّا مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ، وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ، يَدًا بِيَدٍ، وَلَا بَأْسَ بِهِ وَإِنْ لَمْ يُوزَنْ، إِذَا تَحَرَّى أَنْ يَكُونَ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ يَدًا بِيَدٍ. ¤
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: In our view, this ruling is agreed upon that whether the meat is of a camel, goat, or any other animal, exchanging meat for meat is not permissible except by weighing it equally and in cash. If equality is estimated, that is also sufficient.
