بَابُ الْعِينَةِ وَمَا يُشْبِهُهَا وَبِيعِ الطَّعَامِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْتَوْفِيِّChapter on ‘Inah Sale and Similar Transactions and Selling Food Before Taking Possession
Hadith 1344
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : كُنَّا فِي زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَبْتَاعُ الطَّعَامَ، فَيَبْعَثُ عَلَيْنَا مَنْ يَأْمُرُنَا بِانْتِقَالِهِ مِنَ الْمَكَانِ الَّذِي ابْتَعْنَاهُ فِيهِ إِلَى مَكَانٍ سِوَاهُ قَبْلَ أَنْ نَبِيعَهُ "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: In the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), we used to buy grain, then he (peace be upon him) would send a man to us who would order us to move the grain from the place where we had bought it before we sold it.
