بَابُ الْعِينَةِ وَمَا يُشْبِهُهَا وَبِيعِ الطَّعَامِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْتَوْفِيِّChapter on ‘Inah Sale and Similar Transactions and Selling Food Before Taking Possession
Hadith 1342
حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ : " مَنِ ابْتَاعَ طَعَامًا فَلَا يَبِعْهُ حَتَّى يَسْتَوْفِيَهُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever buys food should not sell it until he has taken possession of it."
