Hadith 1302B4

Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said that if a mudabbar (a slave set free after the death of his master) is wealthy and injures someone, and then the master refuses to pay the blood money (diyah), the injured person will take the mudabbar's property as compensation for his diyah. If the diyah is fully paid from this property, the mudabbar will be handed over to his master; otherwise, the remaining amount of diyah will be compensated by taking service from the mudabbar equivalent to the outstanding amount.
