بَابُ مَقَامِ الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا فِي بَيْتِهَا حَتَّى تَحِلَّResidence of a Widow in Her House Until She is Permitted
Hadith 1231
وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي، عَنْ مَالِك، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ : " لَا تَبِيتُ الْمُتَوَفَّى عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا، وَلَا الْمَبْتُوتَةُ، إِلَّا فِي بَيْتِهَا "
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to say that a woman whose husband dies, or divorces her, should stay in her house at night (during the waiting period).
