Hazrat Nafi reports that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to perform tayammum up to both elbows.
Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: What is the method of tayammum and up to where should it be done? He replied that one should strike the hands once and wipe the face, and strike the hands a second time and wipe the hands up to the elbows.
