بَابُ إِعَادَةِ الْجُنُبِ الصَّلَاةَ، وَغُسْلِهِ إِذَا صَلَّى وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ، وَغَسْلِهِ ثَوْبَهُChapter on Repeating Prayer and Ghusl if One Forgets Major Impurity, and Washing Clothes
Hadith 110
وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ وَحَدَّثَنِي ، عَنْ مَالِك ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ زُيَيْدِ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ إِلَى الْجُرُفِ ، فَنَظَرَ فَإِذَا هُوَ قَدِ احْتَلَمَ وَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَغْتَسِلْ ، فَقَالَ : " وَاللَّهِ مَا أَرَانِي إِلَّا احْتَلَمْتُ وَمَا شَعَرْتُ ، وَصَلَّيْتُ وَمَا اغْتَسَلْتُ " ، قَالَ : فَاغْتَسَلَ ، وَغَسَلَ مَا رَأَى فِي ثَوْبِهِ وَنَضَحَ مَا لَمْ يَرَ ، وَأَذَّنَ أَوْ أَقَامَ ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى بَعْدَ ارْتِفَاعِ الضُّحَى مُتَمَكِّنًا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zubayd bin Silat (may Allah be pleased with him) that I went out with Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) to Jurf, and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a mark of a wet dream on his garment, and he had already performed the prayer without having taken a bath. Then he said: By Allah! I do not see myself except that I had a wet dream and was not aware of it, and I performed the prayer and did not take a bath. Sayyiduna Zubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: So Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) performed ghusl (ritual bath) and washed the part of the garment where the mark was visible, and sprinkled water on the part where it was not visible, and gave the adhan or the iqamah, then performed the prayer calmly when the sun had risen high.
