بَابُ الضَّحِيَّةِ عَمَّا فِي بَطْنِ الْمَرْأَةِSacrifice for what is in the womb of a female animal
Hadith 1073B1
قَالَ مَالِكٌ : الضَحِيَّةُ سُنَّةٌ وَلَيْسَتْ بِوَاجِبَةٍ . وَلا أُحِبُّ لأَحَدٍ مِمَّنْ قَوِيَ عَلَى ثَمَنِهَا، أَنْ يَتْرُكَهَا
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: Sacrifice is Sunnah, not obligatory. And it is not good for a person who can afford to buy a sacrifice to abandon it.
