It is narrated from Urwah bin Zubair that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was asked: Bedouins bring meat to us and we do not know whether they said "Bismillah" at the time of slaughter or not. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Say 'Bismillah' and eat it."
Imam Malik, may Allah have mercy on him, said: This hadith is from the early period of Islam.
