Hadith 624
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that some people from the Ansar asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) (for wealth) three times, and he gave them (each time) until whatever he had was finished. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whatever good (the best wealth) I have, I will never withhold it from you (but will give it to you). And whoever refrains from asking, Allah will protect him, and whoever adopts self-sufficiency, Allah will make him self-sufficient, and whoever is patient, Allah will make him patient and grateful. And no one has been given anything better and more expansive than patience."
