A Good Dream Is One-Forty-Sixth Part of Prophethood
Hadith 618
121- وبه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”الرؤيا الحسنة من الرجل الصالح جزء من ستة وأربعين جزءا من النبوة.“
And with this chain (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas, may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A good dream of a righteous person is one part out of forty-six parts of prophethood."
Hadith 619
127- مالك عن إسحاق بن عبد الله بن أبى طلحة عن زفر بن صعصة بن مالك عن أبيه عن أبى هريرة أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان إذا انصرف من صلاة الغداة قال: ”هل رأى أحد منكم الليلة رؤيا؟“ ويقول: ”إنه ليس يبقى بعدي من النبوة إلا الرؤيا الصالحة.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would finish the Fajr prayer with salam, he would say: "Did any of you see a dream last night?" And he would say: "After me, nothing remains of prophethood except good dreams."
Hadith 620
375- وبه: عن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم مثل حديث فيه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”الرؤيا الحسنة.“ قال أبو الحسن: وقد تقدم فى باب إسحاق وتقدم له حديث أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى عن الملامسة، وهو فى باب ابن حبان.
And with this same chain (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him) that there is a similar hadith from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in which it is mentioned that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A good dream (etc.)." Abu al-Hasan (al-Qabisi) said: This hadith has already been mentioned in the chapter of Ishaq. (See Hadith 121) And in the chapter of Ibn Hibban, his hadith has already been mentioned in which it is stated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade touching. (See Hadith 99)
