The order to kill other dogs is abrogated
Hadith 583
257- وبه: من رواية أحمد وحده: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أمر بقتل الكلاب.
And only (Abu Ja'far) Ahmad (ibn Abi Sulayman: the narrator of the book) narrates with this chain (from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered the killing of dogs.
