Hadith 550
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abdullah bin Jabir bin Atik (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us in the village of Banu Mu'awiyah, which is one of the villages of the Ansar, and said to me: Do you know where the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed in your mosque? I pointed to a corner of the mosque, so he said: Do you know which three supplications he made? I said: Yes. He said: Tell me about them. I said: He supplicated that non-Muslim enemies should never have complete dominance over the Muslims, and that Allah should not destroy all the Muslims through famine and hunger. Both of these supplications were accepted. And the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated that Allah would not cause fighting among the Muslims themselves, but this supplication was not accepted. So Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: You have spoken the truth; killing and fighting will continue until the Day of Judgment.
