Hadith 459
126- مالك عن إسحاق بن عبد الله بن أبى طلحة أن أبا مرة مولى عقيل ابن أبى طالب أخبره عن أبى واقد الليثي: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بينما هو جالس فى المسجد والناس معه إذ أقبل نفر ثلاثة، فأقبل اثنان إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وذهب واحد. قال: فلما وقفا على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم سلما. فأما أحدهما فرأى فرجة فى الحلقة فجلس فيها، وأما الأخر فجلس خلفهم، وأما الثالث فأدبر ذاهبا. فلما فرغ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”ألا أخبركم عن النفر الثلاثة؟ أما أحدهم فأوى إلى الله فآواه الله وأما الآخر فاستحيى فاستحيى الله منه، وأما الآخر فأعرض فأعرض الله عنه.“
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Waqid Al-Laythi (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in the mosque and people were with him, when suddenly a group of three men came. Two of them came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and one went back. When those two came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), they both greeted him with salam. Then one of them saw a little space in the gathering and sat there, and the other sat at the end of the people, and the third turned away and left. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished (his sermon or lesson), he said: "Shall I not tell you about these three men? One of them sought a place from Allah, so Allah gave him a place; the second felt shy, so Allah was shy with him; and the third turned away, so Allah turned away from him."
