Prohibition of wearing gold rings
Hadith 421
291- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يلبس خاتما من ذهب، ثم قام رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فنبذه، وقال: ”لا ألبسه أبدا“، فنبذ الناس خواتيمهم.
And with the same chain of narration (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to wear a gold ring, then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stood up and threw it away and said: "I will never wear it." So the people also threw away their (gold) rings.
