Hadith 386
44- وبه: أنها قالت: إن أزواج النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم حين توفي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أردن أن يبعثن عثمان بن عفان إلى أبى بكر الصديق فيسألنه ميراثهن من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقالت لهن عائشة: أليس قد قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ”لا نورث، ما تركنا فهو صدقة.“
And with this same chain (it is narrated from Sayyida Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her) that she said: When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, passed away, the wives of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, intended to send Sayyiduna Uthman ibn Affan, may Allah be pleased with him, to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, and ask for their share from the inheritance of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. So Sayyida Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said to them: Did the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, not say that we do not leave inheritance; whatever we leave behind is charity?
Hadith 387
372- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”لا يقسم ورثتي دينارا، ما تركت بعد نفقة نسائي ومؤنة عاملي فهو صدقة.“
And with the same chain of narration, it is narrated from (Sayyiduna Abu Huraira, may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "My heirs will not take even a single dinar in inheritance. Whatever I have left after providing for my wives and the expenses of my worker is all charity."
