Combining Maghrib and ‘Isha prayers at Muzdalifah
Hadith 327
190- مالك عن موسى بن عقبة عن كريب مولى ابن عباس عن أسامة بن زيد أنه سمعه يقول: دفع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم من عرفة، حتى إذا كان بالشعب نزل فبال ثم توضأ ولم يسبغ الوضوء، فقلت له: الصلاة، فقال: ”الصلاة أمامك.“ فركب. فلما جاء المزدلفة نزل فتوضأ وأسبغ الوضوء، ثم أقيمت الصلاة فصلى المغرب، ثم أناخ كل إنسان بعيره فى منزله، ثم أقيمت العشاء فصلاها، ولم يصل بينهما شيئا.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) returned from Arafat until, when he descended into a valley (before Muzdalifah), he relieved himself, then performed ablution, but did not complete the ablution. I said to him: "Shall we pray?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The prayer is ahead." Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mounted (his ride), and when he reached Muzdalifah, he dismounted, performed ablution and completed the ablution. Then the iqamah for prayer was given, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed the Maghrib prayer. Then every person made his camel kneel at its place. Then the iqamah for the Isha prayer was given, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prayed the Isha prayer, and he did not pray any prayer between these two prayers.
Hadith 328
وبه عن عدي بن ثابت الانصاري ان عبدالله بن يزيد الخطم اخبره ان ابا ايوب الانصاري اخبره انه صلى مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فى حجة الوداع المغرب والعشاء بالمزدلفة جميعا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) that he performed the Maghrib and Isha prayers together with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at Muzdalifah during the Farewell Pilgrimage.
