People of Madinah should say Talbiyah from Dhu’l-Hulayfah
Hadith 319
189- مالك عن موسى بن عقبة عن سالم بن عبد الله أنه سمع أباه يقول: بيداؤكم هذه التى تكذبون على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فيها، ما أهل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إلا من عند المسجد، يعني مسجد ذي الحليفة.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both): (O people!) This is your Baida (a specific plain area) which you mistakenly attribute to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), whereas the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) actually proclaimed the Talbiyah near the mosque of Dhu’l-Hulayfah.
Hadith 320
220- وبه: أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”يهل أهل المدينة من ذي الحليفة، وأهل الشام من الجحفة، وأهل نجد من قرن.“ قال عبد الله: وبلغني أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: ”ويهل أهل اليمن من يلملم.“
And with this same chain (it is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The people of Madinah should enter into ihram from Dhu'l-Hulayfah (say the talbiyah), the people of Sham from Juhfah, and the people of Najd should enter into ihram from Qarn." Abdullah ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: I have heard that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The people of Yemen should enter into ihram from Yalamlam."
